Citizen support requested

Snohomish Conservation District is in the process of trying to acquire stable funding, in the form of an assessment of $5 per parcel, to be initiated in 2009. To do this, we need to show that we have the support of citizens, local agencies, tribes, and organizations.

We have a sample letter that you can download, sign, and send to your County Council elected official. On the website here, you will also find a fact sheet, the proposed budget (how the funds are to be used), and a recently completed cost-benefit analysis by Resource Consulting that outlines how we've done in the past, and the benefit that this future source of stable funding will provide.

If you value the services and/or partnership that you have had with Snohomish Conservation District, we ask you to read the sample letter, check out the documents, and mail a letter of support to your local County Council representative or the County Executive. We would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to learn more and show your support!
